Decisions on behalf of the SafeDeposits Scotland Charitable Trust are made by an experienced board of Trustees. The Trustees are introduced here in a series of short Q&A posts...
ANNE HALSEY
Trustee representing the Scottish Association of Landlords (SAL) since 2012
Why is the Trust important to you?
AH: "The Trust is important as it helps to fund opportunities to improve the knowledge of legislation involved in the Private Rent Sector both for tenants, letting agents, landlords and others involved in supporting the sector. It is my hope that funds approved are used to add value to the quality of knowledge, management of tenancies and future development for the PRS. I hope that with the support of funding from the Trust we can encourage a vibrant, quality, housing sector of choice for the future."
What would you say to anyone who is submitting an application to the Trust?
AH: "The Trustees are keen to consider applications from individuals and organisations, that meet the criteria set. If you are contemplating a project that would make a difference within the PRS by promoting education, sharing best practice, carrying out useful research and improving standards of management in Scotland's private rented sector, please consider if a grant from the Trust could be useful then go ahead, make an application. We are always keen to consider and support a diverse range of projects."
